Find Yourself with Siu Lim
Born in Honolulu Hawaii, and raised in San Francisco, California, Siu Lim is a woman far away from home, but completely comfortable in her own skin. A Chinese-American, Siu Lim’s story of conversion and being a single mother of 4 has touched many lives, as evident from her strong social media following.
When we meet Siu Lim, it’s obvious she’s warm, courageous and empowering. Not only is she grounded in her faith (she converted to Islam at 21), her dedication to her craft (both cooking and pilates as a teacher at The Flow) is very evident, as she tells us without hesitation, that without cooking, she is not complete. Steady as she goes while showing us her favourite dishes to cook (hearty meals that are prepared healthfully and so incredibly tempting), she’s a refreshing departure from the grain bowls we often see in influencer kitchens. Moderation is always key.
Siu Lim’s quiet depth, and more reticent demeanour shows us a woman who is open, but takes awhile to warm up to new people. This, however, just makes us warm up to her authenticity more. We know from her public persona that she’s shared many of her own personal stories and struggles, and we can’t feel anything but respect for the identities that she’s created for herself as a teacher, convert, influencer, and mother.
Siu Lim also teaches pilates at one of the best studios in KL, so going to see her is absolutely going to make you feel good after a session, not just on the inside but out. Check out Siu Lim’s story here, find her at The Flow on Instagram, and follow her on https://www.instagram.com/siulim.
